In honor of Oak Mountain State Park’s rich moonshining history, we are thrilled to announce our new race, Shiner Ridge Revival 7.4 mile trail run! It is said that during the prohibition, more shine came out of the hills of Double Oak Mountain than anywhere else in Alabama. So, join us next 4th of July for a race to the top of King’s Chair during golden hour. The event will take place at Oak Mountain State Park on Thursday, July 4 from 8 p.m. to Friday, July 5 at 8 a.m.

Train will come to the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre on Friday, Aug. 16 in Pelham and will perform at 8 p.m.
Visit Oak Mountain State Park on Saturday, Aug. 17 as individuals and 4 person teams compete in the two day event: Mayhem on the Mountain.
The 2024 Alabaster Health Fair will take place at Thompson High School on Aug. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the THS Arena. There will be booths from local health care organizations.
Gather together at the Valhalla Board Game Cage on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. for their new Steamer Tournament. Instruction for the game will begin at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The tournament begins at 1 p.m. and there will be a $15 entry fee to support a large prize pool.
