Helena Old Town Live
The final Helena Old Town Live of 2024 will take place on Sept. 21 with The Bavarian Express and The Vegabonds close out the year. The final show will take place at Helena’s Amphitheater Park.
National Night Out
The Pelham Police and Fire Departments will hold their annual National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 6-8 p.m. at Pelham City Park. The purpose of National Night Out is to build relationships, and it’s a way for people to meet their neighbors and first responders in a casual and fun environment.”
Columbiana Witches Bike Ride
Dress up in witch attire for a bike ride through Columbiana Main Street during the annual witches ride on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 9 a.m. Participants can enjoy discounts at select stores.
Piney Woods Festival
The annual Albert L. Scott Library Piney Woods Festival is set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be arts and crafts with food vendors set up in the pine grove behind the library.
Montevallo Fire Prevention Parade
The 50th annual Fire Prevention Parade will be held on Montevallo Main Street at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 and will end at Orr Park with activities lasting until 1 p.m.
Music in the Park
Another installment of Pelham’s Music in the Park will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6. The Pelham Youth Cheerleaders will perform from 3:15-4 p.m. and the OPOV Band will take the stage from 4:30-6 p.m. Food trucks will include: Hit Different Barbeque & Grill, Pollo Goyo and Summer Snow Pelham.
Helena Buck Creek Festival
Helena’s annual Buck Creek Festival will take place Saturday, Oct. 11-12 at Helena Amphitheater Park with live music, the duck race, activities and vendors.
Iron Works Fall Festival
The Shelby Iron Works Park Fall Festival is set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 10268 County Road 42 in Shelby. There will be live music, craft vendors, syrup making, blacksmith demonstrations, a pumpkin patch kids zone and more.
Harvest Festival
Visit Oak Mountain State Park at 200 Terrace Drive for the annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be music, inflatables, food, hayrides, a market, a crafts area and more.
Discover Shelby Fest
Discover Shelby Fest—Shelby County’s annual, free music festival featuring regional vineyards—will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
