Free Landfill Day

SHELBY COUNTY – Shelby County will be hosting a Free Landfill Day for Shelby County residents at the Shelby County Highway 70 landfill on Saturday, April 2 and Saturday, Oct. 1 from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The landfill does not accept hazardous waste, tires, batteries or liquid of any type.

Best Buddies Friendship Walk

PELHAM – The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the leading walk in the country supporting inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Ninth Annual Clean Sweep

ALABASTER – The Shred-It and e-cycle event will be hosted from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday, April. 9. Five file boxes of paper per household. There is a $10 disposal fee per CRT computer monitor, $10 shredding fee per computer hard drive and a $25 disposal fee per flatscreen TV. No tube televisions accepted.
