MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION: The American Village in Montevallo will honor veterans at an 11 a.m. service on Monday, May 27. Family-friendly activities will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The annual Tinglewood Festival will take place at Orr Park at 277 Park Drive in Montevallo on Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature vendors, artists at work and more.
The 50th annual Fire Prevention Parade will be held on Montevallo Main Street at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 and will end at Orr Park with activities lasting until 1 p.m.
Discover Shelby Fest—Shelby County’s annual, free music festival featuring regional vineyards—will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The historic match Thomas Jefferson vs. Alexander Hamilton will take place at the American Village on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person.
The city of Montevallo will celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Orr Park.
The annual Montevallo Art Stalk will take place on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will include art, food, fun, live music and activities for all ages.
The fifth annual Chief’s Challenge will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 5:30 p.m. at the Montevallo High School football field. The event showcases first responders and the physical standards they must meet competing against local youth organizations. This year's event is a six person relay team challenge.
