The Kingwood Christian School volleyball team edged Southern Academy 25-17, 15-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-10 in high school volleyball action Sept. 27.

Casey Whitmer led the Lions (13-6) with 13 kills in the victory. Whitmer added six blocks and two service aces.

Madelyn Pearce contributed seven kills and two service aces. Allie Hulon chipped in six kills and two service aces.

Karley Chamblee registered two service aces and a team-high 25 assists in the match.
