Four charged in Calera phone line thefts

CALERA – Calera police have charged four suspects in connection with a recent string of AT&T phone cable thefts.
Phone lines were cut from telephone poles and stripped and sold to scrap yards.
Arrested and charged with receiving stolen property were Timmy Durham, Jonathan Kelley, Anthony Germany and Omie Johnson. All four are from the Calera area.
Durham, 34, and Germany, 36, are being held in the Shelby County Jail. Johnson, 39, is out of the Shelby County Jail after posting bond of $20,000.
Kelley, 28, is in the Chilton County Jail on unrelated charges and will be extradited to Shelby County upon release, according to Calera police.
