Evangel Christian improved to 4-0 on the season Thursday with a doubleheader sweep of Garywood, 11-0 and 10-4.

Katie Woods struck out nine and walked four, while shutting out the Crusaders on just one hit in game one. Lisa Armstrong and Ryan Hopson struck out four and three batters respectively for the combined victory in game two.

Hopson and Armstrong each had five hits on the day.

Evangel hosted Evangel Family Christian Academy of Montgomery last night. Results were not available at press time
