Alice N. Jones, 96, passed away March 8, 2007 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga. She was a graduate of Massey Business School. She and her husband, Tollie E. Jones, owned and operated Jones Office Supply in Alabaster for 30 years. Jones was a 50-year member of #476 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Siluria Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nelson; a brother, Frank E. Nelson; and a sister, Bee Dover. Survivors include daughters, Sue Wyatt Lacey of Alabaster and Cindy J. Ellison (Richie) of Sylacauga; grandchildren, Stanley Lenwood Lacey, Dr. Suzanne Lacey, Jim Ellison and Steven Ellison; sister-in-law, Melissa Nelson; and special caregivers, Annie Thomas, Candace Holtzclaw, Margie Carden and Vanessa Youngblood. The graveside service was held Saturday, March 10 at 2 p.m. at Steele-Elliottsville Cemetery in Alabaster. The Rev. Bob Mahaffey and the Rev. Gary Jones officiated.
