Margie Elizabeth Hester, 80, of Calera passed away Saturday, May 5, 2007. The funeral service was held Wednesday, May 9 at 2 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home. She was buried in Dargin Cemetery. The Rev. Ed Snow presided. Mrs. Hester was born in Alabama on May 15, 1926, the daughter of Mr. Herman Arthur Moore and Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Atchinson Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James David Hester Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Earl) Templin of Steele; sons, James David (Barbara) Hester, Jr of Cottondale, Herman Lesley (Sherry) Hester and Jimmy Roy (Lora Ann) Hester; sister, Myrtle (Walter) Hester all of Calera; brother, Hubbard (Nora Lee) Moore of West Blocton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandhcildren.
