I feel that we have made great strides here at the department; opening new markets for our farmers and creating jobs for Alabamians, ensuring the safety of our food chain and protecting the health of Alabama livestock and wildlife.

We have also taken steps to improve the nutrition of our children in our schools.

We have raised the bar high and we hope that we have done a job that the people of Alabama can be proud of.
