The bride is the daughter of Richard and Dorothy Murphy. She is a graduate of Auburn University and is employed as a registered nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The groom is the son of Michael and Susan Beattie. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburg and is employed as a registered nurse at Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital.
