Mr. Ledbetter, born in Alabama on July 28, 1948, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at the age of 59. He was a resident of Calera. Funeral services were held at Charter Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 p.m. with burial in Shelby Memory Gardens. Visitation was held at Charter Funeral Home on Monday from 6-8 p.m.

His parents, Dusty and Elbert Ledbetter, preceded him in death. Survivors of Mr. Ledbetter include his loving wife of 39 years, Dodie Bailey Ledbetter; daughter, Kenya Ledbetter Tidwell of Calera; son, Thomas Ledbetter (April) of Jemison; sisters, Cheryl L. Hay of Valdosta, Ga. and Kim L. Ray (Jeff) of Acworth, Ga.; brother, Gary Ledbetter of Birmingport; and one grandson, Jacob Keith Tidwell of Calera. Arrangements were under the direction of Charter Funeral Home in Calera.
