The Chelsea High School volleyball team swept Talladega and Lincoln in high school volleyball action Aug. 23.

The Hornets picked up a 25-13, 25-18, 25-11 win over host Talladega in their Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 5A, Area 7 opening match.

Junior Holly Marbut led Chelsea (4-4 overall, 1-0 in Class 5A, Area 7) with 11 service aces in the victory.

Senior Samantha Colyer finished with a team-high five digs and five blocks. Senior Jesse Vohler registered a team-high 10 assists in the match.

Chelsea defeated Lincoln 25-14, 25-20.

Marbut led the Hornets with five kills and a team-high 11 digs in the victory.

Senior Kacie Craft finished with seven service aces and six digs. Sophomore Courtney Campbell recorded six assists in the match.
