Dear Editor,

I think I speak for many senior adults when I say &8220;Thank you&8221; to the Chelsea Fire and Rescue Department for riding Santa around on the fire truck this year.

I know it is for the children but it surprised me that I got so teary eyed when my husband and I heard the sirens.

We walked outside in time to wave a look at Santa. He even threw us some candy.

Many years of taking our children and grandchildren to see Santa like that came to my mind. I bet many other senior adults stood inside their homes and got the same thrill.

Your service is not only for children but for everyone. If any others think so, just tell them. Thank you again for the good service.
