Funeral service for Wanza Ishee, age 79, of Columbiana, was at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel in Columbiana.

Service was officiated by the Rev. David Deter. Burial followed at Columbiana City Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ishee went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at her home. She was born June 5, 1928, in Gitano, Miss.

She moved to Alabama in 1967 with her husband and three children. She was an active member of Mt. Era United Methodist Church in Columbiana.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Henry C. (Pete) Ishee of Columbiana; children, Teena Gregory (Donald Wayne) of Columbiana; Rebecca Jan Davidson (Charles Rick) of Calera; Jimmy Kurt Ishee, of Columbiana; three grandchildren, Scott Gregory of Columbiana, Amy Davidson of Calera, and Christie Lowe (Tim) of Augusta, Ga.; great-grandchild, Maggie Lowe; sister, Christine Crumpton of Raleigh, Miss.; and a host of other family and friends.
