HOOVER- If the name doesn’t grab your attention (how could it not?), then the food definitely will.

Binky Bell’s Deli began serving delicious sandwiches, subs and more to the Hoover area in May 2007.

Although this is Mark Dearing’s first venture into owning and operating a restaurant on his own, he certainly doesn’t lack knowledge in his field. Dearing has a hefty 25 years of experience under his belt.

After working part-time at a sub shop in Tallahassee, Fla., Dearing said, “I decided to open this one and model it after the one in Tallahassee.”

MENU

Binky Bell’s originally began as a sub shop, but quickly evolved into something more.

Along with the humongous sub sandwiches, as Dearing described them, Binky Bell’s offers salads, sandwiches and soups.

The list of subs includes the Super Looper, the basic ham, tuna, turkey or roast beef and the roast beef melt.

Vegetarians will be happy to know that Binky Bell’s has a veggie sub as well.

Of course, the variety of foods doesn’t end with the subs.

Diners may wish to try one of the other tasty sandwiches. They can choose from the chicken salad or Southern Rueben to the all-time favorite peanut butter and jelly or grilled cheese.

Along with a sandwich, customers can add a homemade soup to their order.

Those watching their weight can choose a chicken, tuna or Greek salad.

ATMOSPHERE

The cozy deli offers enough seating for 20 people, and those diners can watch Dearing hard at work preparing the day’s assortment of food.

SERVICE

Offices around the Meadowbrook area will be happy to know that Binky Bell’s also offers a delivery service for breakfast and lunch meetings.
