Four Shelby County athletes were named Bryant-Jordan Award region finalists last week.

Whittney Farrington of Montevallo and Austin Sockwell of Oak Mountain were among finalist for the Achievement Award, while Briarwood’s Alex Epps and Thompson’s Alan Reeves were finalists for the Scholar-Athlete Award.

Region finalists each received a $1,500 scholarship
