TVWriter.com announced Brett McArdle of Helena as a finalist April 14 in its People’s Pilot Competition.

The competition encourages writers to submit proposals for television shows they would like to see hit cell phones, iTunes and web casting across America.

The winner will work with Cloud Creek Institute for the Arts to establish pieces for what the institute considers emerging media.

This year McArdle placed with an idea titled Spacebound.

He was also a semi-finalist last year for an entry called Change the World 101.

The next competition begins May 1 and ends August 1.
