The 2008 Annual Convention of the Alabama League of Municipalities awarded the town of Westover the ALM President’s Risk Management Award.

About 760 public entities participate in one or both of the league-sponsored insurance programs — the municipal workers compensation fund or the Alabama Municipal Insurance Corporation.

The award recognizes members who have instituted risk management and loss control activities.

Only the members with the top five percent minimal losses for a five-year period receive the award.
