Lea Thelma Thrasher, of Homewood, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at the age of 93. Thelma was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend; and she will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by two sons, John and Roy Thrasher.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Thrasher (Louise) and Troy Thrasher; four daughters, Julia Weems, Jean Bennett, Lydia Marohn (Buster) and Brenda Heisler (Jay); many grand- and great grandchildren; and a sister, Dot Jurgens (Tony).

The family will received friends Friday, June 6, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover.

Funeral service was held Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, Tommy Glenn officiating. Interment was in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
