Murrel H. Mullins

Funeral service for Murrel H. Mullins, age 93, of West Point, Ga., formerly of Columbiana, was at 2 p.m., Friday, June 20, 2008, at First Baptist Church Columbiana. Burial followed at Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation was Thursday, June 19, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home in Columbiana. A memorial service was held at First Baptist Church, West Point, Ga., where she was a member, on Sunday, June 22, 2008, at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Mullins, who passed away Monday, June 16, 2008, at Lanier Memorial Hospital, was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Malcolm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Bob Mullins Sr., and a brother, G.S. Houlditch Jr.
She was best known as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir at First Baptist Church of Columbiana.
Mrs. Mullins is survived by two sons, Dr. Ross Bob (Jeannene) Mullins Jr. of West Point, Ga. and Mr. James H. Mullins of Melbourne, Fla.; six grandchildren, Christy (Bret) Coleman of Lanett, Andy (Susan) Mullins of Tallahassee, Fla., David (Kerinsa) Mullins of Macon, Ga., and Ross, Caroline and Katie Mullins of Melbourne, Fla.; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Hamner of Bethesda, Md.; and a sister-in-law, Barbara (Homer) Joiner of Columbiana; and a host of other family and friends.
Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home in Columbiana directed
