UM women’s team ties, loses openers

The 16th ranked University of Montevallo women’s soccer team tied the University of Mobile, 0-0, Thursday and then fell, 3-0, to Florida Tech on Sunday to start the season. UM goalkeeper Corey Gros made 11 saves in the two games combined. She started the season with 156 scoreless minutes until Florida Tech scored on a goal by Megan Stone in the 46th minute Sunday.
