Ruth Davis Lee

Ruth Davis Lee, age 85, passed away on January 2, 2025. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bolton Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Columbiana City Cemetery.

In 1969, Ruth purchased an old church circa 1917, in Eastlake. Soon after, Ms. Lee opened a daycare. The daycare thrived for 15 years. After facing financial problems in 1981, the daycare closed. Soon after Ms. Lee took her hobby of antiquing and grew it into a successful business and “Antique Mall East,” was born. Ruth continued to collect antiques along with her sons long after the store closed.

She is preceded in death by her son: Jeffery Clark Hull; her sister: Dorothy Grissom (James); and her brothers: W. L. Cox (Mary Ellen) and Junior Cox.

She is survived by her son: Edward Graves Hull (Melissa); her grandson: Christopher Terry; and her sisters: Shirley Gates (Charles) and Barbara Dorough (Carl).
