PELHAM The Shelby County Chamber, in partnership with the University of Montevallo’s Stephens College of Business and 58 INC, Shelby County’s economic development corporation, has launched the 2025 Shelby County Business Outlook Survey.

This marks the 10th annual installment of the survey, and the aim of the survey is to collect the thoughts and opinions of various business owners and managers on the economic outlook for Shelby County in 2025.

“As we approach the end of 2024, there will be no shortage of predictions and projections on the national and state level regarding a variety of business issues in 2025,” said Kirk Mancer, president and CEO of the Shelby County Chamber. “However, our chamber and our two co-hosts also think it is vitally important to find out what Shelby County business people think that our own local 2025 business climate will look like.”

The results of the survey will be presented at the 2025 Business Outlook Conference at the Pelham Civic Complex on Wednesday, Jan.9, 2025. The event will feature a panel of business leaders from various sectors sharing their outlook on the 2025 fiscal year.

“We invite all businesses doing business in Shelby County to take roughly ten minutes to complete the survey developed in collaboration with 58 INC and Dr. Sara Robicheaux with the Stephens College of Business,” Mancer said. “The responses will provide important feedback on the business issues affecting Shelby County companies in 2025. All individual responses will be kept confidential, but the overall results will be released and shared in composite so we will all have a better idea of what business people think 2025 will hold for Shelby County.”
