ALABASTER – The Healthcare Center at Buck Creek in Alabaster is ready to start a brand new holiday tradition as its employees prepare for the center’s inaugural Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The very first Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the center will take place on Monday, Dec. 2 at 5:30 p.m. and is open to the public to attend.
“We’re very excited because I don’t think it’s ever been done here,” said Stephen Beane, activities director at The Healthcare Center at Buck Creek. “Come watch the magic of Christmas unfold with our residents and guests.”
The event will kick off with a gathering in the front lobby at “Santa’s Workshop” as the Christmas tree lighting takes place. The festivities will then travel down several areas of the building where a variety of Christmas scenes unfold. Afterward, attendees will gather in the dining room and have hot chocolate and ginger bread cookies while enjoying a showing of “The Polar Express.”
“Come and enjoy the wonder of the season and festivities with us,” Beane said. “Hopefully, it’s going to be a fun little evening, especially for the residents”
