PELHAM – With dozens of families posing with their furry friends, Shelby Humane hosted Holiday Pet Photos with Santa at Myers Plants and Pottery in Pelham on Sunday, Nov. 17.

With professional photography provided by Spark and Arrow Creative, the fundraising event offered families to pose for portraits with their pets to capture the beauty of the holiday season in front of a festive backdrop perfect for memorable holiday cards.

“The event was fantastic,” Shelby Humane Public Relations Manager Leah Eagle said. “We had such a great turnout with over 51 (photography) sessions. Some even had up to five dogs together. It was such a fun afternoon, and all of our guests enjoyed getting their pets photo made with Santa.”

According to Eagle, the event raised more than $2,000 to benefit Shelby Humane in their mission to provide shelter, medical care and adoption services for the animals of Shelby County.

“We’re so grateful to Myers Plants & Pottery for hosting us and providing a beautiful backdrop and to Spark and Arrow Creative for taking the photos,” Eagle said. “Best Friends of Shelby Humane raised over $2,000 for the shelter during the event that will go back to help our animals in the shelter.”

Shelby Humane is dedicated to improving the lives of Shelby County’s animals through adoption, community education and outreach programs.
