Allison secures reelection to Shelby County Commission District 7

Incumbent Lindsey Allison has successfully secured reelection to the Shelby County Commission’s District 7 after serving for more than 30 years.
Allison, of Indian Springs, was reelected to a four year term at 76.15 percent of the vote with an unofficial tally of 8,556 votes out of 11,235.
A retired attorney, Allison has served Shelby County on the commission for more than three decades after repeatedly securing reelection. Allison also marked the first female ever elected to the Shelby County Commission. Allison received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and her law degree from Cumberland School of Law.
Allison continues to focus on growth, financial stability, infrastructure, law enforcement and other key aspects of the county.
Allison ran as a Republican during the general election and faced Democrat candidate Marsha Sturdevant who received 3,027 votes or 23.97 percent of the vote.
