PELHAM – With a squadron of twisted clowns and frights lurking around every corner, Pelham’s Warehouse 31 haunted house is currently open for the spooky season.
Since it opened in 2013, Warehouse 31 has provided a chilling haunted house experience to the residents of Pelham and the greater Birmingham area.
“Warehouse 31 offers a diverse range of attractions designed to challenge even the bravest of souls,” read a release from Warehouse 31. “Our mission is simple: to turn your nightmares into reality, one scream at a time.”
The haunted house offers three primary experiences: the Rigamortis Maze, the 3D experience and the escape room.
The 3D experience combines classic haunted house elements with illusionary tricks to create a unique trip. Donning 3D glasses, guests can travel through a twisted circus where optical illusions come to life and eerie surprises await around every corner.
Meanwhile, the escape room allows guests to put their problem-solving skills to the test as they attempt to escape confinement while a serial killer closes in.
The largest experience of the night comes in the form of the Rigamortis Maze. The maze features an elaborate layout that walks guests through the journey of Lenny Graves, a butcher that descends into madness.
With muggy swamps and chilling scenes, the maze combines terrifying visuals, echoing sound effects and live performances to bring the story to life. In addition, the Rigamortis Maze utilizes special scents for different scenes to appeal to all senses.
“Since its creation, Warehouse 31 has set the standard for immersive horror, blending cutting edge special effects, professional actors and a dedication to creating terrifyingly realistic environments,” read the release from Warehouse 31. “From the moments visitors step through the doors, they are transported into a world of horror and suspense, where their worst fears come to life.”
In addition to the experiences, Warehouse 31 also provides additional scares in the waiting area where guests can sing Scary-oke and interact with the scare actors prior to the big show.
Warehouse 31 is open to the public on Friday and Saturday nights 7 p.m. to midnight until Saturday, Nov. 2. In addition, the haunted house will be open on Sundays from 7-10 p.m. until Sunday, Oct. 27. During the week of Halloween, Warehouse 31 will also be open from Tuesday through Thursday from 7-10 p.m.
