Helena Walmart unveils remodel

HELENA– The Walmart Neighborhood Market in Helena recently unveiled a new remodel and awarded community grants at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Sept. 20.
According to a statement from the Helena Walmart, the remodel was designed to incorporate customer-centric features for an innovative store transformation.
“Customers can expect new features such as expanded check-out options and updated registers, freshly painted interior and exterior,” read the release from the Helena Walmart.
At the ribbon cutting ceremony, the Helena Walmart recognized community partnerships and presented grants to local organizations.
The Miracle League of Helena, the Helena branch of an organization dedicated to making baseball accessible to disabled individuals of all ages, received a grant of $3,500. Meanwhile, Smile-A-Mile, an organization that partners with families during childhood cancer journeys, received $2,500.
The Helena Walmart also awarded a $1,000 grant to March of Dimes and a $500 grant to Birmingham Jumpstart, a Birmingham-based organization that seeks to improve literacy and academic skills in adults.
According to the statement from the Helena Walmart, the remodel and donations reflect Walmart’s larger corporate goals.
“The Helena store remodel solidifies Walmart’s commitment to providing customers with an effortless, high-quality shopping experience,” the statement read.
