Reports of a 29-year-old Shelby County man who was severely burned in a house fire this morning are false.

Harpersville Fire and Rescue was dispatched to the fire just north of the town of Vincent at 4:30 a.m. Firefighters doused a roof blaze at 970 McConico Road. The house’s occupants escaped with no injuries.

Firefighters managed to salvage a few of the occupants’ belongings, according to officials.
