MONTEVALLO – Montevallo athletics is hosting Pack the SAC featuring T-Mobile on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the McChesney Student Activity Center and Central State Bank Arena.

At 6 p.m., the Montevallo volleyball team will host Mississippi College in the annual Pack the SAC and Sea of Purple game.

The Pack the SAC event will feature special guest T-Mobile for a check presentation to the University of Montevallo’s Grainger Community Counseling and Wellness Clinic, which is T-Mobile’s Hometown Grant recipient.

To celebrate, there will be a pregame block party open to all, beginning at 4 p.m. in front of the McChesney Student Activity Center. The event will feature several food trucks, music, games and complimentary beverages and dessert.

Fans are encouraged to attend the pregame festivities and continue the celebration at the volleyball game beginning at 6 p.m. The Hometown Grant will officially be awarded during the games’ set break. T-Mobile will be on-site with plenty of giveaway items for fans in attendance.

Admission to the game is free.

The University of Montevallo’s Grainger Community Counseling and Wellness Clinic is a completely free counseling center open to all members of the Montevallo community. The grant will go towards much needed renovations to expand parking and build a playground, among other projects.
