ALABASTER – A fleet of motorcycles will soon leave out from Alabaster’s Buck Creek Park for a charitable ride that will benefit God Did It Ministries.
God Did It Ministries will host its fourth annual motorcycle ride on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Buck Creek Park. Registration begins at 1 p.m. and the ride kicks off at 2 p.m.
“We are excited,” said Sanchez Tanniehill, the founder of God Did It Ministries. “Every year, we look forward to doing this.”
Proceeds from the event will go toward God Did It Ministries which serves the local community in a variety of ways, including helping families in need during the holiday season.
“It sets us up for 2025 as an organization, so that we will be able to assist families and get ready for the stroke awareness day that we hold every year in the city of Alabaster,” Tanniehill said.
After a prayer, the ride will depart Buck Creek Park and will head through Montevallo and West Bocton to Tannehill Leather Company where participants will relax until they head for the finish line at the Heart of Dixie Harley-Davidson in Pelham. Afterward attendees are encouraged to stay for the Heart of Dixie Harley-Davidson’s bike night.
Registration for the God Did It Ministries motorcycle ride is $25 for one rider and $30 for two riders.
“It is awesome,” Tanniehill said. “There is energy, and it’s a great feeling.
God Did It Ministries serves the Alabaster area and was founded by Tanniehill, who is an Alabaster native, author and gospel recording artist. The organization gained its namesake from Tanniehill’s autobiographical work, “God Did It.”
God Did It Ministries partners with other like-minded organizations to serve low income families who are struggling with back-to-school supplies, holiday items and it also helps in emergency situations like in the event of a natural disaster. The organization also provides free groceries to the community.
