Man arrested in North Shelby for chemical endangerment of a child, drug possession

NORTH SHELBY – Jason Miller, 37, of Birmingham, was arrested on July 28 for drug possession and the chemical endangerment of a child and is currently held in the Shelby County Jail on a $306,000 bond.

According to court records, Miller has been charged with the chemical endangerment of a child after allegedly exposing a minor to cocaine and THC Wax on June 29 at 9 a.m. Miller has also been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute after allegedly being caught with 11.69 grams of cocaine on July 2 at 9 a.m. Additionally, Miller was allegedly in possession of THC vape cartridges, 1,500 grams of THC Wax, syringes with psilocybin mushroom spores and a vacuum sealer with sealer bags.

The complete charges against Miller are as follows:

  • Chemical endangerment of a child
  • Use or possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Unlawful possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute
  • Unlawful possession or receipt of controlled substances
  • Trafficking illegal drugs
