PELHAM – Rodeo enthusiasts and those looking for a fun evening in Pelham will soon have a new event to attend when the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena hosts a new rodeo event in partnership with Kidz Outdoors and the 3R Rodeo Company in July.

The event, which will bring the Professional Cowboy Association Pro-Rodeo show to the complex’s main event arena, is set to take place on July 19-20, with proceeds from ticket sales directly benefiting Kidz Outdoors and their programs.

Event organizers promise that classic rodeo events and feats of cowboy action will be featured throughout the night and will include bull riding, bronco riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, roping and more.

Mutton Bustin, an event where children ride or race sheep, will also be held at the beginning of the event on both nights.

“We are thrilled to bring the spirit of the rodeo to Pelham,” said Seth Greenberg, executive director of the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena. “The event promises an exciting spectacle for our community and benefits a worthy cause. We are proud to support Kidz Outdoors and their mission of providing outdoor experiences for children with special needs.”

The primary benefactor of the event, Kidz Outdoors is a non-profit organization that is dedicated toward the enrichment of the lives of children that face physical, mental or emotional challenges. The organization provides these children with opportunities for outdoor and recreational activities.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena and 3R Rodeo Company for their support,” said Carol Clark, the CEO of Kidz Outdoors. “We hope to have a full house at this fantastic rodeo event that will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children we serve. Some of those children, who are from six states, will attend the rodeo.”

The rodeo will begin at 7 p.m. each night, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and mutton bustin opening the evening at 6 p.m.
