Former Auburn running back arrested for DUI

Lionel “Little Train” James, a former Auburn University running back and inductee of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame, was arrested by a Shelby County Sheriff’s deputy and charged with driving under the influence early Thursday morning.
According to authorities, James was pulled over at 12:43 a.m. at U.S. 280 and Cahaba River Road. James had a blood-alcohol count of 0.12. The legal limit is 0.08.
James is now being held in the Shelby County Jail on 1,300 bond.
James, a native of Albany, Ga., was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the fifth round of the 1984 NFL Draft. James played for the Chargers from 1984-1988. During the 1985 season, James set the NFL record for all-purpose yards.
