PELHAM – Another concert has been booked for 2024 at the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre, with Loserville 2024 scheduled to come to Pelham on Friday, Aug. 9.

Loserville 2024 is the latest concert tour of  American nü metal band Limp Bizkit and will include performances from other artists, including Bones, N8NOFACE, Corey Feldman and Riff Raff.

Originally founded in Jacksonville, Florida in 1994 Limp Bizkit’s current lineup consists of lead vocalist Fred Durst, drummer John Otto, guitarist Wes Borland, turntablist DJ Lethal and bassist Sam Rivers. Over the course of the band’s history, Limp Bizkit has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and sold more than 40 million records worldwide.

Limp Bizkit’s most recent album, ‘Still Sucks’ was released in October of 2021 and received mostly positive critical reception, and was ranked the fourth best metal album of 2021 by Loudwire. Loudwire went on to rank the album’s song ‘Dad Vibes’ as being the number one rock song of 2021.

“…Bizkit did what they’ve always done and delivered an irresistibly catchy, groove-laden banger guaranteed to get you bouncing along,” Loudwire said in an official release.

Despite the band’s success, Limp Bizkit has been controversial at times, and has at times been referred to as ‘one of the most hated bands in music’ by publications such as Grunge. 

This reputation can be partially attributed to events such as Limp Bizkit’s performance at Woodstock ‘99, where concertgoers are said to have begun moshing violently and caused significant amounts of property damage. Despite numerous requests from staff to try to calm the crowd down, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst instead is reported to have ‘fanned the flames’ and revved the crowd up even further.

This incident, coupled with a history of high-profile feuds with artists such as Slipknot, Marilyn Manson and Eminem, has cemented Limp Bizkit’s reputation. However, the band has also been attributed with being incredibly influential to the music of other artists such as Emmure, Attila, Hacktivist, Lionheart, Rise of the Northstar, Islander, Of Mice & Men and Zeal & Ardor.
