A Sylacauga man died as the result of injuries from a one-car motor vehicle accident on Shelby County 76 in Harpersville.

Jimmy Bernard Marbury was the only person involved in the accident.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. on July 1, Shelby County 911 received a report of a vehicle leaving the road and overturning in the 500 block of Shelby County 76, also known as Klein Road, in Harpersville, according to a press release from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

Marbury, 32, was the driver of the vehicle and the vehicle’s only occupant, the release stated.

Harpersville police officers with fire rescue personnel and Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the accident.

Shelby County’s Traffic Homicide Investigation unit and the Shelby County Coroner are assisting the Harpersville Police Department with the investigation of this accident, the release read.
