A 51-year-old Birmingham man died Sunday morning in a car wreck on County Road 41.

Jackie Earl Pate died at the scene of the one-vehicle accident, which happened five miles east of Inverness around 2 a.m.

No other injuries were reported. The wreck is still being investigated by Alabama State Troopers.
