A Dallas-based commercial real estate company recently closed a deal to purchase one of Pelham’s newest shopping centers from the Birmingham-based Sharp Realty company.

Officials with Encore Realty, which is headquartered in Dallas, purchased the Pelham Towne Center June 20.

The 74,008-square-foot shopping center off Huntley Parkway was built in 2008, and is anchored by a 45,600-square-foot Publix grocery store. The retail center also includes a Subway, a TCBY, a Johnny Ray’s and the Regis Corporation.

“We are very pleased to enter the Birmingham MSA with the acquisition of this high-quality neighborhood center with solid tenancy, and a strong performing grocery anchor in Publix Supermarkets,” Nic Barber, president of Encore Retail, wrote in a press release.

According to the company’s website, Sharp Realty was seeking tenants to fill five outparcel lots around the shopping center.
