COLUMBIANA – Harry Moon, the veteran’s service officer for Shelby County, has been named grand marshal of Saturday’s Liberty Day parade.
Columbiana Mayor Allan Lowe praised Moon for helping the county’s veterans.
“He’s protected the people who protected our country,” Lowe said. “He’s very well respected in the veterans world. There are a lot of people who owe their livelihood and their piece of mind to Harry. He won’t stop until he’s helped the veterans get what was promised to them by the government.”
The Liberty Day parade starts at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and is themed “Red, White and Boom!”
