The city of Hoover will host a retirement reception for outgoing Fire Chief Thomas Bradley on Feb. 1 from 1-4 p.m. at Hoover Fire Station No. 4. The public is invited to attend.
Bradley has worked for the Hoover Fire Department for 32 years. The International Association of Fire Fighters honored him in 2008 for being one of two firefighters with 60 years of service. He is also a World War II Navy veteran.
“The city of Hoover is extremely grateful for the leadership and service Chief Bradley has given to this community the past 32 years,” said Hoover Mayor Tony Petelos. “Under Chief Bradley’s leadership, the City of Hoover Fire Department has grown and developed into one of the best fire departments in the state. We wish Chief Bradley the best as he enters into his retirement.”
Fire Station No. 4 is located at 800 Municipal Drive. Parking will be at the Hoover Recreation Center with shuttles provided to the fire station.
