A Helena police officer at the center of a sex discrimination suit has resigned from her position as a school resource officer on the police force.
Helena Police Chief Doug Jones confirmed that Jan “OJ” McDuff turned in her resignation Feb. 2. He said he was unable to comment further because of the lawsuit.
McDuff filed suit against the city of Helena on Oct. 15, alleging that she was denied training and pay raises given to her male counterparts, and that she was wrongfully disciplined because of her discrimination complaints.
McDuff had been with the Helena Police Department since 2000.
