The Hoover Public Library has expanded to include a new Plaza, which includes a performance stage, coffee shop, newsstand, Friends Bookstore, reading room, comfortable seating area and a reading garden. The area is now open to the public.

The Plaza has been under construction since June 2008. The library plans to hold book readings, artists’ demonstrations, musical performances and movie showings at the Plaza.
