Stained glass classes are back on the schedule at the Shelby County Arts Council! We are happy to announce that starting in August we will be offering the weekly stained glass with Margaret Hague.
The five-week session starts Tuesday, Aug. 4 from 5-7:30 p.m. Margaret will teach you the necessary skills to create beautiful stained glass art with multiple colors and textured glass. You will learn to cut the glass to fit in a design of your choosing and learn how to copper foil the pieces and solder them together. Students will then use lead came around the outside of the design to hold it all together.
This is a great class for beginners or people with some experience. This five-week session costs $125 and some tools and supplies will be provided. Students will need to bring glass sheets (this can be found at Hobby Lobby).
To register for this class, visit Shelbycountyartscouncil.com or call 205-669-0044 for more information.
