ALABASTER – The Alabaster YMCA will host a blood drive on Tuesday, May 12, intended to help the community save lives.

“We would love for you to give to this cause and donate blood,” YMCA Regional Executive Director for the Alabaster and Pelham branches wrote. “Our goal is 20 pints. We need about 35 donors!”

The drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Alabaster YMCA gymnasium.

The drive is listed as open to the public so any donors looking for a drive close to the zip code will see this blood drive as an option.

To sign up, donors can call 1-800-RED-CROS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter the sponsor code “AlabasterY.”

Donors and volunteers will be required to wear a mask. If they do not have a mask, one will be provided for them.
