Pelham announces closings amid coronavirus threat

PELHAM — The city of Pelham has announced the closing of several public facilities between 5 p.m. Friday, March 13 and Monday, March 16 at the end of the business day due to the threat of coronavirus.
The closings were announced as “a precautionary measure” and will affect the following facilities:
- Ballantrae Golf Club
- Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena
- Pelham Public Library
- Pelham Racquet Club – closure at 10 p.m. on March 13
- Pelham Recreation Center
- Pelham Senior Center
The following exceptions apply: Pelham City Hall offices, Revenue offices and the Pelham Waterworks Department will remain open for regular business during normal business hours.
Also, the Pelham Court docket scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 has been postponed. Anyone needing to schedule a new court date is asked to contact 205-620-6407 to do so. The Pelham Court office will continue to accept payments as normal.
City leadership will continue to monitor the situation and update the status of all city facilities as more information becomes available.
