ALABASTER – By mid-April, Alabaster Wash and Wax is expected to be open for business.
The new car wash business, owned by Gamble Holdings, is located on U.S. 31 right next to Alabaster Fire Station No. 3.
Dale Gamble with Gamble Holdings said the $2 million facility will be state-of-the-art and provide customers with an enhanced car washing experience.
In addition to a drive-thru car wash and free vacuuming and floor mat cleaning services, the roughly 6,000 square foot building will include a drive-thru car waxing bay, which is a feature Gamble said other car washes in the area don’t have. Customers will able to purchase memberships packages as well.
Gamble said the business will use less water than typical car washes because its water will be recycled and reused. After use, the water will go through a cleaning and filtration process before being used again. The chemicals used to wash the vehicles are not harsh and won’t cause damage to car paint, according to Gamble.
This U.S. 31 location was chosen to construct the business because Gamble said he believes the area is primed for growth due to its proximity to Interstate 65.
“I hope this will encourage others to come in and build businesses in the area to help improve the look of U.S. 31 from Alabama 119 to Interstate 65,” Gamble said. “It’s a good high-traffic area to open a business.”
