Legion Post 555 hosting open house Feb. 1

PELHAM – American Legion Post 555 is hosting an open house Saturday, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pelham Senior Center, located at 500 Racquet Club Parkway.
The event is an opportunity for local military veterans to learn about the resources available to them and to network with fellow veterans and citizens in Shelby County.
The following organizations will be present at the open house:
-Birmingham Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center Outreach Coordinator
-Mobile Vet Centers (MVCs) of the Department of Veterans Affairs
-LifeSouth Community Blood Center –Blood Drive and a mini physical
-Alabama National Cemetery Administration – Burial benefits
-My HealtheVet
-Veterans Service Office (VSO) – Veterans Claims
-Secretary of State’s Office – Photo Voter ID Mobile Unit; Voter Registration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Legion will also be sharing information about various youth and community programs. There will be informational booths about the following American Legion programs:
-American Legion youth programs, such as baseball, Boys/Girls State, Junior Shooting Sports, college scholarships opportunities and more.

-Sons of the American Legion
-American Legion Riders
-Pro Rodeo Charity Fundraiser Ticket Sales
