In the spirit of giving, the Alabama Power Service Organization at Plant Gaston recently decided to purchase Christmas gifts for families in need.

The organization purchased 180 gifts for children represented by several organizations, including the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind, Angel Tree from Grace Baptist Church in Childersburg, and Departments of Human Resources for Chilton, Shelby, St. Clair and Talladega counties.

“We are able to shop for these wonderful children to support our important local organizations and agencies,” Jodi Webb with Alabama Power. “It means so much to give back to the communities we are privileged to serve and make sure these children have gifts under the tree.”

About a dozen volunteers took time to purchase and deliver the toys.
