ALABASTER – At 2:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Shelby Baptist Medical Center after receiving a report about a shooting victim.

Upon arrival, deputies met with the victim, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim is a 42-year-old female from Wilsonville. SCSO investigators also responded to the call and immediately began an investigation. At this time, investigators believe this is an isolated incident and the general public is not in danger.
